We at 32° East believe in artists in Uganda, that their talent can be nurtured in community, and that their art can have both intrinsic and extrinsic worth. We believe that a home-grown collecting culture can be cultivated and that we have the potential to develop our own audiences and markets.

With a new art centre, we aim to generate consistent income, set down roots, and create a home that will last. We envision a centre that sustains itself, through studio rentals, art sales, workshops, and accommodation. With pro-bono support from New Makers Bureau, we have a gorgeous design just waiting to be realised. We want to open a new centre built by the artists for the artists, but we cannot do it without your help!
