18th Nov 2021 – Front row seat to our experimental construction process!

We’re keeping waste to a minimum on site, re-using as much material from the demolished building and our old container, and making use of scraps. The construction team has used old doors in their site offices, scrap wood on formwork, and we’ve been able to sell or give away other material to members of the 32 fam!

Right now the construction team is building a shelter with reused items from our old container where the compressed earth blocks for the new art centre will be made. These large mounds of earth in the image are directly from the site and will be used to make each block, leaving the tiniest carbon footprint.
