Joan is a Mahikeng based visual arts and film curator who is a UCT BA graduate and former director of the Encounters South African International Documentary Festival. She is the founding director of Legalamitlwa Arts and is currently working towards building an artist residency in Mahikeng.

Fiona is an art historian and lecturer in Art History in the Fine Art department at Newcastle University. Her research explores queer social and sexual cultures and art from the 1970s to the present with a particular focus on cruising cultures, the HIV/AIDS crisis, world-making practices, and the politics of urban space.

Fouad is a writer, editor and publisher, organising independent spaces for discourse and artistic collaboration. As a member of the Johannesburg-based artists’ collective Dead Revolutionaries Club, he co-curated exhibitions, an online webzine and conversation evenings.
